THIS WEEK WITH // KYLE UTTER // JUNE 29 - JULY 5

Featured in // THIS WEEK WITH // is a series of paintings by Kyle Utter from the exhibition Separated as though by a Pane of Glass curated by Clare Kambhu.

"More information does not always lead us closer to the truth. Kyle Utter’s fantastical, representational paintings are saturated with pictorial information, references to art history, popular culture and pictorial signs. Yet these elements do not congeal into a coherent single truth, statement, or narrative. The ideal of the suburban Mid-Century American house becomes a sight of visual fracture and unease as it is appropriated to the ends of resuscitating fascism, clinging to the leg of the patriarch as he staves off a non-existent foe." - Clare Kambhu, curator
